The Redding City Council will discuss possible changes to its zoning rules Tuesday after it received several complaints about a lingerie store operating in the downtown area.
'Kiss Me Novelties & Lingerie' recently relocated from another part of the city. Some residents say the new location is inappropriate for a store that sells adult wares.
Owner Stephanie Drew told Action News that she doesn’t consider 'Kiss Me' to be an “adult store.”
“I don't have pornography, I don't have magazines, I don't have videos. I don't have anything depicting the act of, and nor would I want to because I have my children in here.”
The store does sell sex toys, lubricant, and adult novelties in addition to costumes and lingerie.
