Rialto City Manager David Carmany has resigned less than three months into his five-year contract with the city. The San Bernardino Sun reports that Carmany stepped down on April 12 without public mention.
City Attorney Eric Vale called it a “mutually agreeable separation due to personal reasons.”
Carmany said he had decided to “segue into retirement” and is focusing on home improvement projects in his free time. He received a $119,329 severance.
Assistant City Manager Tanya Williams is now serving as acting city manager.
