Safewise Ranks Safest Cities in California

Home security review site SafeWise has published a list of the safest cities in California in 2021. The rankings are based on the most recent crime statistics and FBI data.

The rankings come at a time of heightened concerns over safety. In a SafeWise survey, 56% of Californians reported a high level of concern about their safety on a daily basis. Growing anxiety is at least partially related to the pandemic. Around 54% said their personal safety had been hindered by the pandemic.

Among the 50 safest cities in California, all of them have violent crime rates below the state and national averages.
