San Bernardino is on the lookout for the leader of its new Ceasfire crime prevention program. The City Council recently approved a job description for the community intervention program manager. He or she will earn an annual salary of $140,910.80 to $168,387.44 plus benefits.
The City Council voted to contract with California Partnerships for Safe Communities to develop and implement Ceasefire last year. Funding comes from Measure Z, a sales tax measure for public safety approved by voters. There has been some criticism over the process of implementation so far.
The intervention manager's duties include planning, organization and analysis of crime intervention procedures, managing staff, and working with community groups.
