If the name Sky High Holistic sounds familiar, it should. That’s the Santa Ana dispensary that was raided two years ago in an infamous bust that saw cops stealing, damaging surveillance equipment, and insulting a wheelchair-bound patient. It’s also become a legal headache for the city. Santa Ana has since dropped all charges against the workers who were arrested and agreed to pay the owner $100,000 to settle a legal claim.
After all that, you’d think Santa Ana would want nothing to do with Sky High, right? Wrong.
“Sky High Holistic, a medical-marijuana dispensary that gained national attention after Santa Ana police officers were caught on video eating snacks there during a 2015 raid, was stormed by detectives again Thursday morning in an ongoing effort, authorities say, to crack down on illegal pot shops,” the Orange County Register reports. It was one of two shops busted on Thursday for selling marijuana without proper licensing.
Predictably, Sky High is blaming its legal squabbles with the city. But the joint has been raided four times for illicit practices. It’s an illegal operation, the cops said. Plain and simple.
