After an extensive search process, the Seal Beach City Council has hired Patrick Gallegos as City Manager. Gallegos has served as Interim City Manager since November 1, 2024 following the resignation of Jill Ingram.
Gallegos has worked for the city for 13 years. He was appointed Assistant City Manager in 2014.
The new city manager’s contract calls for $270,000 in annual base pay, which is $3,000 more than his current salary. Councilmember Patty Senecal criticized a lack of information about Gallegos’ benefits package. She was the lone vote against the contract.
Councilmember Nate Steele said the city was fortunate to have Gallegos, calling him “a high-caliber integrity guy.”
