On January 1, California’s statewide minimum wage rose from $16.50 to $16.90 per hour. A number of cities also raised their pay limits. These include West Hollywood, which now has the highest minimum wage in the state at $20.25 an hour.
On Monday, the Sacramento Bee published a list of cities and counties where the hourly minimum wage now exceeds $17. These are:
