Earlier this week we let you know that Councilwoman Kris Murray from Anaheim sought to have the city denounce the GOP frontrunner.
But after Tuesday’s council meeting, no resolution was finalized and protestors on both sides clashed outside the chambers.
According to The LATimes, the appearance of anti-Trump protestors shows a shift in the population of the once mostly Republican city to a more liberal leaning one.
Additionally, Trump is scheduled to hold a rally at the OC Fairgrounds Thursday night. The Pacific Amphitheater can hold more than 8,000 people, and his campaign isn’t sure how many will attend.
Democrat groups will be protesting this event too, citing “racism, sexism, religious bigotry, disregard for international law, violence or any other such phenomena” as the reasons for not wanting his presence in the county.
