Two videos from a renters protest show what went down.
A crowd was massed outside the council’s chambers chanting phrases to the tune of “Let the renters speak.”
Listening to the videos below, you can hear murmurs about landlords allegedly paying people to hold seats to fill the chamber and presumably keep the renter crowd out.
We advise caution, as one of the arrests is not pretty and there is plenty of profanity being lobbed throughout.
