The City of Willits in Mendocino County has appointed Stephanie Garrabrant- Sierra as its next chief executive. Her appointment caps off an extensive recruitment process that drew 31 candidates and then 8 finalists.
Garrabrant-Sierra is the former assistant city manager of Tracy. She has held posts with the cities of Oakland and Alameda as well. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a law degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
The agreement between Willits and its new city manager stipulates a $120,000 annual salary plus benefits and a severance package equivalent to six months pay. Garrabrant-Sierra will assume her new role on March 15.
