Since 1945, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has given recognition to local governments whose annual financial reports exceed the minimum requirements and fully embody the principles of transparency and full disclosure. Yountville in Napa County is now one of those leaders in financial reporting. It has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual report for fiscal year 2020 from GFOA.
“The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represent a significant accomplishment by Town staff and its management,” according to a Yountville news release.
“We congratulate our Finance Department for their hard work and diligence in achieving this high honor for twelve consecutive years!”
