The Yuba City Council promoted its interim city manager, Robert Bendorf, to the permanent post on January 10. Bendorf’s appointment took effect immediately.
Bendorf was hired as the interim city manager in spring of 2025. He has come out of retirement to assume the full-time post and will earn an annual salary of $280,000.
Before his retirement, Bendorf served as Yuba County Administrative Officer. He has advised dozens of cities since then.
Yuba’s last city manager, Diana Langley, left in 2025 for the same position in Louisville, Colorado.
