The County of Yolo is recruiting to fill one (1) at-will, full-time position in the class of Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting and Financial Reporting Division within the Department of Financial Services.
Accounting Manager - CPA: $127,004.80 - $154,377.60 Annually
Accounting Manager - Non-CPA: $118,123.20 - $143,582.40 Annually
This position is responsible for managing the Accounting and Financial Reporting Division; establishing countywide accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls; maintaining the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial system; preparing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and other key financial reports; and ensuring the proper and timely completion of disbursements and accounting transactions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with governmental and fund-based accounting, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, preparing governmental financial statements, implementing and documenting effective policies and procedures, local government programs and operations, cost accounting, disbursements, budgetary compliance and methods of effective supervision and team building.
