Accounting Technician
Salary: $20.92 - $26.70 per hour, plus excellent benefits. There will be a 2% increase effective June 27, 2016.
Ideal Candidate: Ideal candidate would have accounts payable and payroll experience using SAP, Tyler Munis, or other ERP financial software in a public agency. Is detailed-oriented, good communicator and has the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Is a self-starter, with the ability to learn quickly, easily adapts to new processes and is effective in a team environment.
Position: Under direction, performs a variety of technical accounting duties including payroll and accounts payable, preparing journal entries and cash receipts postings, and reconciliation of checking accounts, in support of the Administrative Services Department; and assists in the preparation of a variety of financial reports.
Requires: Equivalent to completion of the 12th grade, supplemented by specialized training in accounting and two years of increasingly responsible accounting experience. Experience with an ERP system is desirable.
