The Finance Department seeks candidates ready to demonstrate their payroll prowess!
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this Payroll Accounting Technician will utilize their analytical skills to provide timely, accurate, bi-weekly payroll. Providing top notice service to employees, duties include entering/verifying timesheets, running payroll reports and working closely with human resources to find and correct issues. This team member will file payroll taxes, as well as, process garnishments and other payroll liabilities. Monthly reconciliation of liability accounts and reporting to CalPERS are key to this role.
The Public Works Department, Fleet Maintenance Division seeks candidates who are asset management accounting savvy to fill this role!
Reporting to the Fleet Services Supervisor, the Asset Management Accounting Technician is responsible for managing asset acquisition and disposal, administering the database system and the accounting system in Fleet Maintenance. This pivotal role manages Department of Motor Vehicle licensing and registration of vehicles, State and local regulatory permits for fuel and emissions, and purchase fuel levels for City fueling sites. This asset management specialist, calculates and processes Federal and State fuel taxes on a quarterly basis, organizes shop scheduling and manages motor pool fleet rentals.
The City offers a total compensation package that includes both a generous salary plus excellent benefit! Salary: $57,582.93 - $69,993.04 Annually DOQ.
