Mendocino County seeks a seasoned professional with experience in and understanding of Agriculture and Weights and Measures work, as well as understanding of or experience in assigning duties, principles and practices of supervision and performance review. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of principles, best practices, theories, trends, and techniques of farming, forestry, weights and measures, and supervision.

Salary: $88,889 - $152,068 DOE/DOQ

Minimum Qualifications

Assistant Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field; and, two (2) to three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience;
or,
Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Licenses and Certifications:
County Deputy Agricultural Commissioner License and County Deputy Sealer of Weights and Measures License. This position classification has been amended to require the Agricultural Commissioner and Sealer of Weights & Measures licenses be acquired within the first two years of employment to remain in the position.
