San Benito County has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant County Counsel position. This position, an assistant department head in the office of the County Counsel is a confidential management position serving at the pleasure of the County Counsel and is responsible for the direct supervision of the Deputy County Counsel I/II/III’s as well as technical and clerical supervision.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with excellent interpersonal, communication and legal skills who conveys self-confidence, who takes initiative has fiscal integrity and who consistently demonstrates good judgment as well as the ability to work in a team structure.
The successful candidate should have three to five years of increasingly responsible experience with a County Counsel’s Office, City Attorney’s Office or other civil public law office.
