The County of Marin, California, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Public Works for Project Delivery to provide strategic leadership and administration for its extensive portfolio of capital improvement projects. This role oversees critical functions including transportation planning and traffic engineering, capital improvement project development and construction, and a range of essential engineering services. The Assistant Director will lead a capable team of five division managers who oversee engineers, project managers, technical staff, and external consultants in delivering a capital program exceeding $400 million. They will foster strong cross-departmental collaboration; build effective partnerships with Caltrans, utilities, consultants, and community stakeholders; and advance project delivery practices that enhance safety, sustainability, and long-term infrastructure resilience.
