What This Role Entails
The Assistant Finance Director serves as a key leader in the Finance Department, overseeing three to five Finance Division managers and a budget of $9.2 million. This position will assist the Assistant City Manager/Chief Financial Officer in managing the operations and activities of the Department. Such activities include budgeting, financial transparency, accounting, accounts payable/receivable/payroll, investment and debt management, business licensing and short-term rental permits, special taxes and assessments, support of the City’s financial system, and purchasing and the central stores warehouse.
