Located approximately 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, the City of Pasadena is nestled at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is a community-owned utility supplying water and electricity to Pasadena and nearby areas. PWP is supported by a staff of 419 and a $284.6 million annual budget.
This Assistant General Manager leads 99 FTEs in the support of delivering customer service excellence and a sound financial strategy that upholds PWP’s business strategies and ensures compliance with the agency’s energy and credit risk management policy and mandates in the wholesale energy market. PWP seeks a finance expert to build on this high-performance organization’s track record and reputation. The candidate selected will be a strong, innovative, and visionary leader, who can exercise technical oversight with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Competitive candidates will offer five years of management experience in a comparable utility along with a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
