The City of Port Hueneme Community Development Department is seeking a self-motivated Assistant Planner to perform professional work in the field of planning. This individual will manage the processing of proposed development projects, as well as, provide information and assistance to developers, the business community and the public on planning, housing, environmental and development-related matters.
To become part of our Community Development team, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in land-use planning, urban planning, public administration or closely related field and one year of experience in planning and community development; or the equivalent. Experience in a public agency is desirable. A valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.
