The City of Oceanside is accepting applications for current and future vacancies for the position of Associate Engineer. There are currently two positions available, one in Land Development and the other in Capital Improvement Projects.
The Land Development Associate Engineer should possess the necessary skills to review developer submitted plans. Storm water (MS4 and NPDES), green streets and hydro- modification design and/or review is also highly desirable as is the ability to prepare and review hydraulic and hydrology plans and studies.
The Capital Improvement Projects Associate Engineer should possess design and construction management skills associated with street, storm drain, parks, sidewalk, curb and gutter improvements. Project management abilities are highly desirable. Building design and construction and public facilities experience is a plus.
Experience: Four years of increasingly responsible experience in civil engineering.
Training: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field.
License/Certificate:
Possession of an Engineer-In-Training Certificate from the California State Board of
Registration for Professional Engineers.
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
