The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking a Professional Engineer/Traffic Engineer with demonstrated experience in traffic operations, impact analysis & studies, smart technology implementation, neighborhood traffic management programs, and public/private infrastructure projects.

Through leadership, strong communication skills and innovative forward-thinking, the successful candidate will work closely with staff, consultants, and regional partners like Caltrans and SACOG to develop intelligent transportation systems, integrated multi-modal networks and implement smart city technologies.

Associate Civil Engineer
Salary Range: $9,264.67 - $11,336.28 per month

Employment Standards & Minimum Qualifications: 

Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years of experience comparable to that of an Assistant Civil Engineer at the City of Rancho Cordova.
  • Knowledge of Development Services, Infrastructure Finance, Municipal Engineering, and traffic engineering and operations is highly desirable.

Training:

  • 4-year Engineering degree.

License & Certificate:

  • Possession of a valid registration as a Professional Engineer and/or Professional Traffic Engineer in the State of California is required.

 

Senior Civil Engineer
Salary Range: $10,556.00 - $12,924.42 per month 

Employment Standards & Minimum Qualifications: 

Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years of experience comparable to that of an Associate Civil Engineer at the City of Rancho Cordova.
  • Knowledge of Development Services, Infrastructure Finance, Municipal Engineering, and traffic engineering and operations is highly desirable.

Training:

  • 4-year Engineering degree.
  • A Master's degree in Civil Engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

License & Certificate:

  • Possession of a valid registration as a Professional Engineer and/or Professional Traffic Engineer in the State of California is required.
