COMMUNITY CHOICE ENERGY ATTORNEY
The City of San José, Office of the City Attorney is seeking candidates for the position of Community Energy Attorney. The attorney will advise the newly created Department of Community Energy which will provide clean energy choices to electricity customers in San José pursuant to the California Public Utilities Code. The City prefers candidates with prior experience related to the following areas: contracting; regulatory affairs; legislative affairs and energy supply matters, preferably in connection with advising a registered community choice aggregator. The candidate should also be a current active member of the State Bar of California with at least five (5) years of extensive responsible experience as an attorney working on complex regulatory and energy matters. The successful candidate will possess excellent research, negotiation, and analytical abilities, along with superior writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
