The City of Alameda is seeking an experienced, dynamic, solution-oriented executive leader with strong qualifications managing real estate negotiations and transactions, and coordinating economic development, including sale and lease transactions, asset management of public land, marketing, business attraction and retention programs, and preferred knowledge of base reuse or large-scale reuse and redevelopment projects, to serve as our next Base Reuse & Economic Development Director.
The ideal candidate will possess a four year degree in economics, urban planning, business, public policy, or closely related field, have a broad range of experience including executive level management, real estate, economic development and/or asset management of public lands, strong track record of collaboration, skilled communicator, and is an inclusive, collaborative, and consistent team leader.
Salary range is $188,073-$228,605 annually with a 3.5% increase effective 7/2/2023.
