The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and supported by a 2021-2022 budget of $2.76 million and 8 full-time team members.
Mountain View seeks a confident and collaborative municipal legal advisor with exceptional problem-solving skills. This strategic professional will be accustomed to representing municipalities with highly engaged stakeholders and offer an impressive history of partnering with elected and appointed officials and city management. The ideal candidate will be open minded and innovative in designing strategies and solutions.
Executive or senior level experience in municipal law serving as a City Attorney, Assistant City Attorney or equivalent is highly desirable. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the California State Bar are required.
