The City Manager serves as the chief executive officer of the City, ensuring that public services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner; implementing policy decisions made by the City Council; and facilitating the development and implementation of City goals and objectives. The City is seeking a collaborative, strategic, and team-oriented leader to serve as the next City Manager. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of mentorship among staff and must possess excellent interpersonal skills. A forward-thinking, organized, and detail-oriented candidate will be successful. The City is seeking a politically astute candidate with the ability to build and maintain relationships with the community, staff, and Council. A servant leader with experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion is desired. Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain these would be possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, planning, or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government with at least four (4) years of experience in a high level administrative or executive capacity. A master’s degree in a related field as well as advanced educational training in subjects related to the development and administration of municipal government is highly desirable.

The salary for the City Manager is $228,057.60 annually. Salary placement is dependent on qualifications and experience. The City also offers a generous benefits package.
