DEFINITION
Under general direction, plans, organizes, oversees and manages the staff and operations of the Planning Division, including current and advanced planning, Housing Authority functions and environmental review; serves as source of information for developers, engineers, property owners, and contractors regarding land use applications and general municipal planning programs, projects, and functions; manages the effective use of division resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; identifies and implements process improvements that help streamline permit review and overall efficiencies; provides highly complex and responsible support to the Development Services Director in areas of expertise; and performs related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in urban planning, geography, architecture, environmental design, public or business administration, or a related field, and five (5) years of professional urban planning program experience, of which two (2) years should be in a management capacity.
