PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Combination Building Inspector performs skilled inspection work in the enforcement of building, zoning, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, housing and related codes and regulations governing the construction, alteration, repair and use of buildings and structures; assists in the re-view of building plans and zoning codes and laws; performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education: 3 years of experience in building trades and a high school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of sixty (60) accredited units in construction technology, or related field and posses-sion of the I.C.B.O Building Inspection Certificate may be substituted for the required experience.
Licenses: Valid Class C California Drivers License. Must possess am I.C.B.O Building Inspection certificate within two (2) years of appointment. Must also possess a certification in Building and Safety Code Ad-ministration within three (3) years of appointment.
