The City of Ventura is hiring! We have an immediate vacancy for the position of Community Outreach Specialist (Bilingual English and Spanish). The Community Outreach Specialist is part of the City’s communications team and supports communication efforts for individual Departments and City‐wide initiatives. The Community Outreach Specialist (Bilingual English and Spanish) reports to the City's Communications Manager/Public Information Officer in the City Manager’s Office. This team member will be responsible for launching a wide variety of advertising, marketing, public relations, communications strategies, and community outreach campaigns for the City and its various departments. This position will be the primary bilingual English and Spanish resource to staff and management regarding the design and development of appropriate communication plans for the City. In addition, the Community Outreach Specialist will be the bilingual resource to the City's website development team, assisting with the translation and interpretation of documents, presentations, and other content from English to Spanish. This position will also help facilitate community outreach activities (i.e., workshops and meetings) to better engage Spanish‐speaking audiences. The City offers a total compensation package that includes both a generous salary plus excellent benefits!
Salary:
$73,941.09 ‐ $99,081.63 Annually DOQ.
