This recruitment is to fill two (2) vacant Department Director positions.
The successful candidates will be registered California Civil Engineers and have experience with continuous process improvement methodologies, preparing and making public presentations before regulating bodies, and working collaboratively with government officials and constituents to achieve objectives.
These are at-will positions, exempt from the provisions of the Civil Service Ordinance.
DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
Under administrative direction of the Director of the Public Works Agency, the Director – Engineering Services manages the budget and managerial, professional, technical and clerical staff in three divisions: Project Services, Survey and Land Development within the Public Works Agency. This position represents the Agency in matters relating to the Engineering Services Department and performs related work as required.
DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR - ROADS AND TRANSPORTATION
Under administrative direction of the Assistant Director of Public Works, the Director – Roads and Transportation manages the budget and managerial, professional, labor and maintenance, technical and clerical staff in four divisions: Design and Construction, Operations and Maintenance, Planning and Permits, and Traffic within the Public Works Agency. This position represents the Agency in matters relating to the Roads and Transportation Department; and performs related work as required.
APPROXIMATE SALARIES:
Director, Engineering Services: $152,197.20 - $213,076.09 Annually
Director, Roads and Transportation: 152,197.20 - $213,096.98 Annually
