Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business or public administration, or related field (Master’s Degree and / or CPA preferred); public sector finance experience at a management or executive level; California municipal experience desirable. Furthermore, candidates with exposure managing and administering a municipal accounting system, performing complex professional accounting work in the preparation of the annual budget, coordinating the development of a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report / audit process, and inspiring and leading a finance staff will be considered favorably.
