The City of San Luis Obispo is looking for an innovative and customer-driven Deputy Building Official to serve as a member of the Community Development Department Management Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the direction of day-to-day operations and activities of the Building and Safety Division, managing the City’s building inspection, code enforcement, and building permit functions, and overseeing staff. The ideal candidate will possess developmental related experience, demonstrate a proven track record in efficiency, bring a fresh perspective to a regulatory process, and would provide high-level service to impactful projects.
