The County of San Diego, California, is seeking an experienced and visionary executive to serve as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO) overseeing the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA). This is a unique opportunity to lead one of the nation's largest and most innovative health and human service organizations, guiding more than 8,000 employees and a $3.5 billion budget through a period of change and transformation. The DCAO leads the HHSA's strategic and operational direction, advancing innovation, collaboration, and equity to strengthen service delivery and improve the quality of life for more than 3.3 million residents. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the DCAO works closely with the Board of Supervisors, other County leaders, and community partners.
