Are you ready to make a real impact in a community that values innovation, collaboration and excellence? The City of Rancho Cucamonga is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Deputy Director of Electrical Utility Services to join our award-winning team!
This is a unique opportunity to help shape a newly formed department within the City of Rancho Cucamonga, and play a leadership role in overseeing essential services that support both residential and business customers. The Deputy Director will act as the general manager of the utility and direct the operation and maintenance of the electrical system infrastructure; develop and implement division business and work plans; plans, procures and manages power resource requirements; oversee the fiscal management of the utility; and review and approve construction and maintenance plans and contracts.
There are some exciting projects on the horizon, including building a new substation and ensuring electrical energy infrastructure meets service demands from growth associated with a new terminus station for high-speed rail that will be built in the City.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering or a related degree. At least five or more years of progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience involving a major division of a governmental or private utility organization is required.
