The City of Sacramento is seeking a Director of Convention & Cultural Services (Director) to oversee the Convention & Cultural Services Department, which provides exceptional cultural, artistic, and leisure opportunities that enrich quality of life in the region. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse, empowered, and talented department consisting of 180-250 staff members across three divisions, with direct oversight of six direct reports. THE JOB
The Director of Convention & Cultural Services oversees the activities of the Convention & Cultural Services Department, which provides essential art, culture, entertainment, and historical preservation for the city. A major responsibility of this position is overseeing the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, Performing Arts Center and the Memorial Auditorium, which recently underwent a $384 million renovation and expansion and serves as a critical cultural and economic hub for the region and state.
