The Director of Human Resources and Risk Management will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for all human resources programs, including: • Strategic leadership: Develop and implement HR policies and strategies that support the organization’s goals and promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and professional development.
• Compliance and policy management: Maintain thorough knowledge of public sector employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and federal and state regulations. Advise leadership on complex personnel matters.
• Employee relations: Foster strong relationships with employees, managers, and labor union representatives, acting as a trusted advisor to resolve concerns and promote a collaborative environment.
• Talent management: Oversee all talent-related functions, including recruitment, selection, on boarding, performance management, and succession planning.
