We are seeking a Director of Public Works Operations & Maintenance, a role vital to managing and enhancing our city's infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented leader, ready to foster an innovative culture and collaborate with staff to advance departmental and city initiatives. This position demands a dependable and committed team player, ready to be an integral part of the City’s executive management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, assign, and direct the activities, operations, maintenance, and programs of the department.
- Establish performance measures and departmental goals aligned with City Council Strategic Plans.
- Coordinate department activities with other city departments and public agencies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage budget preparation, justification, and administration.
- Oversee the selection, development, supervision, and evaluation of department staff.
Qualifications
- At least ten years of supervisory or administrative experience in maintenance operations or similar environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
