The City of Napa has an immediate vacancy within the Finance Department for a Finance Analyst!

The Finance Department is comprised of five distinct functional areas: Administration, Accounting & Audit, Revenue & Collections, Purchasing and Information Technology. In partnership with other City departments, the Finance Department works to develop budgets and long range forecasting, implement control measures, and establish policies and procedures aimed at accurately accounting for, safeguarding, and maximizing the value of the City's assets.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Finance Department team, providing essential support to the wide variety of services and functions we provide to the citizens of Napa. The dynamic work environment will require the new Finance Analyst to be a self-starting, quick learner who can take a customer service oriented approach to problem solving.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, business or public administration or a closely related field, and at least three years of progressively responsible accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably in a public agency setting. Possession of a Certified Public Accountant license is desirable.
