You will have the opportunity to lead a very talented team of 32 full-time and several part-time employees engaged in all financial aspects of a City – budget, treasury, accounting, revenue management, customer service and utilities billing, business licensing, purchasing, debt financing, and a variety of challenging projects. You will also be part of a fun, dynamic and cohesive executive team dedicated to improving the economic vitality of Pomona. Pomona is easily accessible from a variety of freeways from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, so you might just reduce your commuting time, too!
The ideal candidate will have eight (8) years of responsible municipal accounting, budget, financial analysis, economic forecasting, or closely related experience including three (3) years of management and/or supervisory experience and the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree. A CPA or Certified Public Finance Officers Certificate (CPFO) is desirable. .
