We are looking for an exceptional person interested in leading the fiscal future of and joining the dynamic and proactive Santa Cruz Water department. This unique opportunity will allow you to participate in the live, work, play culture of the City's most innovative operation and be within our vibrant Downtown Santa Cruz district.
As the Finance Manager reporting directly to the Water Director, you will be in one of the City's most respected fiscal positions and be on the career path to an Assistant Finance Director or Finance Director (aka, Chief Financial Officer) role. You will plan, organize and direct the financial activities within the Department, including operating and capital budgeting and budget administration, revenue management, financial forecasting and projections, capital program financing and long-term debt management and financial reporting.
You may also develop your skills by planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of staff within the Water fiscal division and supporting project teams throughout the entire Water operation. In addition, you may be involved in City-wide leadership assignments and community projects.
