Located in San Mateo County, California, the Central County Fire Department (CCFD) serves the Cities of Burlingame and Millbrae and the Town of Hillsborough. The Department serves a population of 66,045 from six fire stations across a service area of approximately 15 square miles. CCFD is supported by 90 FTEs and a FY2023-24 operating budget of $33.14 million.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring forward-thinking leader known for their commitment to quality service delivery and relationship building abilities. This visionary will also be an exceptional communicator who embraces the importance of consistent and continuous communications and engagement throughout an entire organization. Previous experience with strategic planning and effectively leading change is strongly preferred. Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience within the fire service, three (3) of which must have been equivalent to a Battalion Chief or higher is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is desirable.
