The City of Hollister is seeking a collaborative, visionary, and inspiring Fire Chief to lead the Hollister Fire Department into the future. Nestled in beautiful San Benito County, 47 miles south of San Jose, Hollister has developed into an anchor community for the surrounding area, drawing residents, businesses, and tourists to its beautiful weather, charming downtown, abundant recreational opportunities, diverse workforce, friendly people, and rural roots.
The Hollister Fire Department serves the 45,000+ residents of Hollister, and is additionally contracted to provide fire services to nearby City of San Juan Bautista and the greater San Benito County. The Fire Chief oversees 49 employees, including Administrative Staff, Battalion Chiefs, Captains, Engineers, and Firefighters who provide services out of four stations.
The City Manager seeks a candidate with at least 15 years of progressively responsible supervisory and management experience. A forward-thinker, the candidate will lead the process of developing a strategic plan to serve a growing community. The annual salary range for this position is $178,357 - $217,334 Placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications. In addition, the City also offers an attractive benefits package.
