The City is looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the Manteca community. This person will work independently to carry out a diverse array of essential tasks focused on helping the homeless in Manteca. Additionally, this position will focus on homelessness areas such as prevention, early intervention, emergency and support services and be able to effectively collaborate with other agencies on advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate should be a problem solver, dedicated to superior services and support to make a real impact for the Manteca community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in the development, delivery, monitoring, or evaluation of community programs, community development, housing initiatives, grant applications, administration of grant awards, and delivery of programs to address homelessness. Two (2) years of experience working with the homeless is highly desired.
Masters Degree is highly desired.
Licenses and other requirements:
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Class C California driver’s license upon appointment.
May be required to complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training.
