Under administrative direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of assigned division within the Human Resources Department including recruitment, selection, classification, wage and salary administration, employer-employee relations, labor negotiations and training; employee benefits, workers’ compensation, Public Employment Retirement System (PERS); coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Training:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
Experience:
Seven years (full-time equivalent) of increasingly responsible human resources experience within area of assignment including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license or the ability to arrange transportation as required.
