We have an opening for the position of Human Resources Manager in our Human Resources Department/Personnel Division. Under administrative direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of assigned division within the Human Resources Department including recruitment, selection, classification, wage and salary administration, employer-employee relations, labor negotiations and training; employee benefits, workers’ compensation, Public Employment Retirement System (PERS); coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Human Resources.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Training:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
Experience:
Seven years (full-time equivalent) of increasingly responsible human resources experience within area of assignment including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license or the ability to arrange transportation as required.
