Appointed by the City Council and the Mayor, the Inspector General fosters and promotes accountability, transparency, and the responsible and effective use of City resources to support the achievement of City goals and objectives. The Inspector General has oversight and supervision of investigations, audits, inspections, and operational performance evaluations as well as provides accountability and oversight of City operations to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse in City operations. The City of Riverside is seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking professional as the Inspector General. The ideal candidate has a strong auditing and financial background and can establish and maintain effective working relationships with others while projecting a positive image of the Office of the Inspector General.

 

The annual salary range for the Inspector General is $160,896.00 - $217,212.00; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
