Key Account Representative

The City of Palo Alto is hiring a Utilities Key Account Representative to help Palo Alto meet its ambitious climate action goals. The position is within the Utilities Program Services (UPS) group, a team whose members are at the center of sustainability activities, overseeing programs ranging from improving building efficiency to promoting electrification of buildings and transportation. We are looking for candidates with strong project management skills and experience in the energy and/or water industries. The position includes establishing and maintaining direct relationships with facilities, operations, finance and sustainability offices of major commercial customers, as well as acting as the customer's liaison to the utility and other City departments. Experience working with business customers and familiarity with building energy systems and technologies, particularly in the commercial sector, are desirable. Responsibilities include designing customer-centric programs, evaluating emerging technologies, setting program goals and tracking achievements, hiring vendors, and devising strategies to promote programs.
