Lead Engineering Assistant
Biweekly Salary: $4,356.80 - $5,273.60 Biweekly

Central San’s Planning and Development Services Division is seeking a Lead Engineering Assistant. This is a frontline permit counter position whose duties require extensive public contact. The position’s primary duties include meeting with engineers, developers, contractors and the general public regarding sewer information, site development procedures, plan submittal procedures and requirements, permit fees and processing procedures, issuing sewer repair and construction permits. The ideal candidate should enjoy providing excellent customer service while working at a permit counter in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade. College-level coursework in engineering, drafting, surveying, mathematics, or a related field is highly desirable.
Five years full-time experience in engineering support, drafting, inspection, planning or GIS work, or two (2) years of experience equivalent to that of an Engineering Assistant III at the District.
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. A valid out-of-state driver's license will be accepted during the application process. Must possess a valid California Driver's License within 90 days of appointment.
