Being a Legal Staff Supervisor in the Sheriff's Office means you will:

• Plan, organize, direct, review, evaluate, and supervise the work of staff involved in the reception, preparation,

research, issuance, and maintenance of law enforcement records

• Formulate policies and procedures governing staff operations and resolve work-flow issues
• Coordinate staff schedules and assist them with day-to-day functions
• Support the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of new employees

• Work closely with Sonoma County Courts to interpret courtroom minutes and calculate inmate release dates

• Review and authorize a high volume of inmate release caseloads on a daily basis

• Perform complex technical legal work, including the explanation of policies and procedures to department 

staff and the public
