Working with the Community Enhancement team, the Management Technician will support a variety of projects and programs from public safety to public works, to community-based and grassroots programs and initiatives, to opportunities for residents and businesses.   Approximately 50 projects a year are selected for grant funding with a focus on fulfilling needs to support key community priority areas.  Some of the highest priority tasks include:
 
  • Prepare and manage contracts for the City's Community Enhancement & Investment Fund
  • Process payments and reconcile payments to grant recipients
  • Monitor and track grant progress and results
  • Analyze reports for compliance
  • Update the City's open data platform
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the grant process
  • Write memos
  • Coordinate meeting logistics with our grant recipients and city staff
  •  Assist in the development of marketing materials 
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the department
  • Represent the City at community meetings and events
 
Pay Range$63,000 - $77,000 per year, Depending upon Qualifications, PLUS great benefits.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE is detail oriented, with outstanding organizational skills who can easily manage multiple assignments and deadlines.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, who is eager to learn, and who can problem solve and solicit information with diplomacy and professionalism.  Excellent interpersonal skills are important, to build and maintain good working relationships in the community as well as with staff in various City departments.  

Minimum Qualifications: 2-year college degree or equivalent + 2 years of experience in grants and contracts administrative tasks, preferably related to public agency & community-based programs.  Valid CDL with clean record also required. See Job Announcement for more details
